This Portrait of Igor Stravinsky, c. 1920 by Picasso was my first 'serious' task that I drew upside down! Yes, I was not allowed to turn it over until I completed it. The one on the right is a photocopy of the picture I had to replicate. It was a challenge drawing all the negative shapes but I kept reminding myself to let my negative thoughts go and just carry on. For the first time in my life I drew hands...real hands and not the stick figure kind! The second it was done I could not stop jumping for joy. I was so PROUD of my accomplishment...YAY!! |
